This is a very important question so let's please read the entire answer.
Germs are prolific serial killers. (Germ warfare?)
CDC FACTS: In the USA 159,865 Americans have died from Coronavirus as of 08/15/20, 34,200 from Influenza in 2019 and 50,000 die each year from Pneumonia.
So, it is commonly agreed that disinfecting ourselves, homes and workplaces is critical to our health and safety and will likely continue in the future. It is also agreed that the incomplete disinfection of the deadly Coronavirus and other germs, would allow their spread to the next victims, i.e., family, friends, employees, ourselves and others?
There are several methods that are used to disinfect a home or workplace. A common method is to "wipe on" or "spray and wipe" disinfectant on counter tops, tables, toilets, high touch areas and other surfaces. Initially, spraying with a common sprayer leaves individual droplets of disinfectant on the surface. For this surface to be disinfected completely the droplets must come in contact with each other to form a sheet, which would require more spraying until the surface is wet. Wiping would help spread (smear) the disinfectant into a sheet but wiping every surface, big, small and tiny, is not possible, even for the most dedicated of us. The plus to this method is the low cost for the sprayer ($50 - $100). The big negative is that it leaves surface areas that are not disinfected and it uses extra disinfectant.
Another method of disinfection and the one that Viral Shield-USA uses is the application of the disinfectant with Vapor Cloud Technology. Micron-sized (0.000004 of a meter) droplets as produced and forms in a "VAPOR CLOUD" that completely engulfs the objects and area (360 degrees around) for total contact and complete disinfection. Kind of like standing in fog, you can't help but get totally soaked.
Viral Shield-USA also uses a highly effective disinfectant (99.999%) that dries without wiping and does not spot or haze a mirrors, glass or other surfaces. The sprayers can also reach 12 feet vertically for total "Wall to Wall" (and everything in between) disinfecting. The plus side of this method is that it completely disinfects the home or workplace. The down-side is the high cost of Vapor Cloud equipment with costs around $5000 and up.
A BIG HEALTH CONCERN is what type of disinfectant is used and how it will affect someone that is using it every day or routinely for weeks, months or even years. The directions on the label refer to infrequent use. Few long term studies have been con-ducted on the daily long-term use and exposures to lungs, digestive tracts, eyes and skin.
COPD is the third leading cause of death in the USA according to the American Lung Association.
Harvard and French National Institute. A 30-year study conducted by Harvard researchers and French National Institute of Health and Medical Research determined that people who use disinfectants-- just once a week --have a 22%-32% increased chance of developing lung disease.
(Disinfecting daily for about 4 years is about the same exposure as 30 years of weekly disinfecting.)
The researchers also looked at exposure to specific disinfectants: glutaraldehyde, bleach, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol and quaternary ammonium compounds (or quats mainly used for low-level disinfection of surfaces). All of these were associated with an increased risk of COPD of between 24% to 32%.
Viral Shield-USA uses chemical resistant hooded coveralls, goggles, respirators and latex gloves when applying disinfectants.
Another important concern is the type of disinfectant that is used of the hundreds that are on the market. EPA has published "List N" which lists the disinfectants recommended for use with Coronavirus. In addition, it is recommended that the disinfectants also not harmful our health or the environment. Viral Shield-USA uses a highly effective (99.999%) "ALL SAFE" disinfectant classified under EPA's lowest toxicity rating allowed for all routes of exposure including inhalation, ingestion, skin irritation, skin sensitization and eye irritation.
Lastly, whether a highly effective and "ALL SAFE" disinfectant will be effective likely depends on how the disinfectant is applied (method) and the person that applies it. Viral Shield-USA uses its "Wall to Wall" (and every-thing in between) application method applied by Supervised trained and experienced Disinfection Technicians.
I hope this has helped answer your question.

Disinfecting
Disinfecting uses chemicals to kill 99.999% of germs on hard, non-porous surfaces or objects. Disinfecting kills germs on contact and works on hard, nonporous sur-faces. Porous surfaces such as carpets and upholstery require “specialized” dis-infectants. Disinfecting can be persistent although periodic treatment is necessary. Germs can be deposited on a surface by touching, coughing, sneezing, etc.
Sanitizing
Sanitizing is the use of a chemical product or device that reduces the number of germs on surfaces or objects to a level considered safe by public health standards or requirements. Sanitizing kills most (99.9%) but not all for hard surfaces not used for food service. Sanitizing requires surfaces to be cleaned in order to effectively kill germs.
Cleaning
Reduces germs (bacteria, fungi, viruses, etc.), dirt, dust, grime and impurities by removing them from surfaces or objects. Dirt and organic material make some disinfectants less effective, so cleaning is necessary before disinfecting in most cases. Works by using soap or detergent and water to physically remove germs from surfaces. This process does not necessarily kill germs but by removing them, it lowers their numbers.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is the strain of Coronavirus that causes COVID-19, the respiratory illness responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic.
SARS is a Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome that causes acute stress in the respiratory tract.
Respiratory viruses tend to infect and replicate in the nose and throat, where they are highly contagious, or lower in the lungs, where they spread less easily but are much more deadly.
Coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, dwells in the upper respir-atory tract, where it is easily sneezed or coughed onto its next victim. But in some patients, it can lodge itself deep within the lungs, where the disease can kill. That combination gives it the contagiousness of some colds, along with some of the lethality of its close molecular cousin SARS.
Recent laboratory research indicated that, although SARS-CoV-2 typically degrades in a few hours outside a host, some particles can remain viable — potentially infectious — for up to three days and longer.
In 2014 scientists retrieved a virus frozen in permafrost for thousands of years. The virus was able to infect an amoeba after being revived in the lab.
How Deadly? CDC FACTS: In the USA 159,865 have died from Coronavirus as of 08/15/20, 34,200 from Influenza in 2019 and 50,000 die each year from Pneumonia. A total of 244,065 of us that died from Germs in this time period.
According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) the deadly Coronavirus is transmitted by contact of bodily fluids that have been infected by Coronavirus or other germs.
The route of entry is primarily through the eyes, mouth and nose although other routes of exposure are possible. Coughing, sneezing, breathing or talking in close proximity and hand to face contact are thought to be the most probable routes of transmission.
Safety glasses, face masks covering the nose and mouth, routine washing of hands with soap and water, use hand sanitizers, social distancing, self quarantine when symptomatic, disinfecting of homes, businesses and vehicles, etc., are recommended.

Disinfecting your workplace ensures a healthy and safe workplace for your visitors, customers, employees, contractors and others and may well prevent disrupt-ions due to Coronavirus and other germs.
Customers, employees, contractors and visitors appreciate a business they frequent or work in that prominently displays a sign that indicates the business "Has been Disinfected" against the deadly Corona-virus for their safety and theirs. Given a choice, customers are more likely to frequent a business that has been disinfected over one that has not.
Disinfecting also kills other virus' such as Influenza, HIV, H1N1, etc., and odor causing bacteria such as Salmonella Choleraesuis, Escherichia Coli, MRSA, Klebsiella Pneumonia, etc., and a variety fungi and molds to promote a healthy and safer workplace. The disinfecting also freshens the buildings and shops.

The time it takes to disinfect a home or workplace depends on several factors. Viral Shield-USA disinfects "Wall to Wall" and all contents in between. The walls are disinfected up to 12 feet and includes room walls, hallways, etc. Also all rooms are disinfected and include closets, store rooms, water heater rooms, etc.
The first factor considered is the total square feet to be disinfected. The larger the home or workplace the more time it takes to disinfect. As a rule of thumb it normally takes about 1 hour to disinfect an average home. The second factor considered is how much furniture and or equipment is in the buildings. Since all the contents of the rooms are disinfected the more items in the rooms the longer it takes. The final factor is how many miscellaneous items will be disinfected such as vehicles, storage sheds, playground equipment, etc.
As can be seen the time it takes to disinfect a home or workplace can vary quite a bit.
Viral Shield-USA "ALL Safe" disinfectants are identified by EPA as having no known adverse effects to human health or environment. It is classified under EPA's (Environmental Protection Agency) lowest toxicity rating allowed for all routes of exposure including inhalation, ingestion, skin irritation, skin sensitization and eye irritation.
Although Viral Shield-USA's disinfectant are "ALL SAFE" it is recommended that you vacate the premises prior to disinfecting unless you wear the PPE (personal protective equipment) recommended. The Disinfection Technician can recommend the proper PPE.
The PPE also protects you and us from any Corona-virus that may be in the structure.
